A while ago I went to the wedding of a former coaching client. She grabbed me on the dancefloor, elated and beautiful in her strapless gown, and yelled,
Three dress sizes, Lizzy! You did this!
And I am reminded, yet again, how incredibly effective coaching is. What looks from the outside like cups of tea and conversations, is deeply powerful. I have the gratitude emails, filed away for days I need reminding what this is about:
(A marked change in form, nature, or appearance)
Someone recently asked what wellness coaching is. This is what I told her.
“It’s my job to get you from where you are – physically, mentally, emotionally – to where you want to be. I don’t hand out meal plans, recipes or workouts; I give you something Google can’t – a space in which to explore what has been going on for you and why, what has held you back and how you can move past it.”
For good this time
Your challenge might be losing weight, boosting energy, sleeping deeply, quitting sugar, building a movement practice, all of the above or something entirely different. I can help you. I also specialise in helping clients recover from and prevent burnout, address their work-life balance, create a supportive and nourishing daily routine, and prioritise themselves.
Know this: whatever you’re going through can be broken through.
Have I lost weight? Yes I have. More importantly, I’ve lost the obsession with dieting. I’ve lost my scales – banished to the rubbish bin. I’ve lost the bad habits that have held me back for years. I’ve lost the need to equate everything in my life to how much I weigh. I’ve lost a lot. What have I gained? I’ve gained something amazing. I’ve gained me. I’ve gained the ability to enjoy being me. I’ve gained self-belief and self-love. And I’ve gained the tools to secure and strengthen what I’ve learned.
We work together over three months, moving you forward – sometimes in small steps, others in great leaps – in a way that feels effortless, intuitive and gloriously supported, because, at the bottom of it all, support is what makes the difference.
Why three months?
I used to work with people over six but found they were reaching their goals in three. So three it has become. At the end you’ll have the awareness, the knowledge and the tools you need to continue progressing on your own, and a solid platform on which to build new layers of transformation.
The most powerful part of my programme was unpicking the emotional cues behind my eating habits and attitude towards exercise, and how quickly Lizzy was able to uncover those with me. I have recommended Lizzy to almost everyone, usually prompted by them questioning me about my weight loss/lunch box contents/homemade treats and anything else that’s now a daily habit for me thanks to Lizzy.
This is what your programme includes:
- Six one-to-one coaching sessions, in person or online, to be distributed in the most beneficial way across three months
- Unlimited email support between sessions for tricky questions, craving emergencies and anything else you’re stuck on
- A copy of my ebook, ‘What well beings do’, which includes all my secrets from mind-body-spirit wellness
Book a free hour-long chat to find out where you are, what you’re working towards and what’s been holding you back.
The biggest change I noticed was my attitude to what I put into my body. I started to really consider what I was eating and looking towards healthier and more interesting things to eat. As a busy person, I was delighted to see this happen much more naturally than I thought it would, and it was easy to work into my lifestyle. The most surprising thing for me was the relationship between my body and mind. I noticed a big change in my get-up-and-go once I started to have better nutrition, and finding it easier to exercise and move in turn made my mind clearer and happier.
Not ready for coaching?
I get it. If there’s one thing I know about this process it’s that you must be 100% ready for it to be effective. But that doesn’t mean you can’t start making some changes on your own. My ‘20 Tiny Health Tweaks’ e-guide shares some of the easiest and most effortless things you can do to become a little bit healthier right now.
